Mr. Romeo P. Peña
4478 V. Francisco St.
Sta. Mesa, Manila

Dear Mr. Peña,

Congratulations!

You have been chosen one of 13 writing fellows to the 17th Iligan National Writers Workshop (INWW) to be held at the MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), Iligan City on May 24-28, 2010.

Because the INWW did not receive funding this year from the National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA), you have to either pay for your transportation to and from Iligan City, and for your board and lodging for the duration of the workshop, or, you look for a sponsor to enable you to attend the INWW. While in Iligan, board and lodging costs P10,000 per writing fellow.

You will be billeted at the MSU-IIT Hostel located inside the MSU-IIT campus. The MSU-IIT is along the national highway in Tibanga. You may check in the hostel starting in the afternoon of Sunday, May 23. Check out time is at 12 noon on Saturday, May 29.

Please confirm your attendance to the INWW on or before May 17. Send your letter to the undersigned or call Alice Bartolome Secretariat telefax (063) 223-2343.

If you are accepting the writing fellowship, we expect you to be present during the opening program on May 24, 9:00 AM, MSU-IIT Mini-theatre.

Please prepare an offering (pen, flower, handkerchief, drawing, etc.) and a prayer for writers during the opening program which has been a part of our tradition.

See you in Iligan!

Truly yours,

CHRISTINE F. GODINEZ-ORTEGA
Director, 17th INWW
